Smart Classroom Surveillance Network
Across every smart classroom and ICT lab deployed in Tamil Nadu and Punjab government schools, an indoor IP surveillance camera is installed, commissioned, and integrated into the district Command and Control Centre as a standard component of the classroom solution — not an afterthought, not an optional add-on.
The result is India's largest school-integrated surveillance network 22,931 classrooms, centrally monitored, continuously operational.
The Challenge
A camera without central management is just a recording device. What schools needed was an integrated safety layer of cameras connected to a command infrastructure that enables real-time monitoring, instant alerting, and accountable oversight at scale.

The Solution
Every smart classroom and ICT lab installation by KS Smart Solutions includes a calibrated indoor IP camera, positioned to cover the full classroom environment. The camera operates continuously, feeds live into the district CCC, and stores footage locally with a defined retention period.
This is not a standalone security camera. It is part of a unified, managed network, configured, enrolled, and monitored from the moment the classroom goes live.
Integrated Into the Command and Control Centre
Every camera across every school feeds into the district-level Command and Control Centre, the same CCC that monitors device health, connectivity, and operational status across the entire school network. The CCC is equipped with a video wall, centralised VMS, and operator workstations, giving district administrators and designated safety personnel live visibility across the classroom network from one location.
When something happens in a classroom in a remote school, the CCC sees it, in real time, with the location, camera ID, and timestamp already attached.
All camera feeds are managed through a centralised VMS, giving administrators the ability to monitor live feeds, review recorded footage, search by school, date, time, or event, and export evidence when required. Access is strictly role-based, only authorised personnel at defined levels can view footage, ensuring student and staff privacy is protected while safety oversight is maintained.
MDM-Managed Device Enrollment
Every camera is enrolled and managed through the MDM platform, the same system managing every other device in the classroom. Camera health, connectivity status, and operational alerts are monitored centrally. If a camera goes offline, the CCC is alerted automatically, ensuring no classroom loses its safety layer without immediate notification.

What This Delivers
District-Level Oversight District administrators have real-time visibility across every school in their network — not periodic visits, not retrospective reports, but live operational awareness of safety conditions across the entire district from one command environment.
Evidence and Accountability Every incident is recorded, time-stamped, and stored. Footage is retrievable by authorised personnel for investigation, administrative review, or legal purposes — with a complete audit trail of who accessed what and when.
Privacy by Design Role-based access controls ensure footage is only accessible to authorised personnel at defined administrative levels. Students and teachers are protected — safety oversight and privacy are not in conflict, they are both built into the same architecture.
