KS Smart Solutions deployed a comprehensive IoT-based water metering and monitoring system for CMWSSB — transforming Chennai's water distribution network from a manually-managed legacy infrastructure into a data-driven, cloud-connected utility with real-time visibility, automated anomaly detection, and city-wide operational control.
What We Built
A multi-sensor field deployment across Chennai's water distribution network, feeding live data to a centralised cloud platform and an operator dashboard — giving utility managers continuous situational awareness from source to tap.
Water Flow Measurement — Electromagnetic flow meters and ultrasonic smart meters capture real-time distribution data, enabling precise efficiency analysis and loss detection across the network.
Pressure Monitoring — Pressure transducers distributed across the distribution system continuously monitor line pressure, with data transmitted to the cloud for real-time alerting and trend analysis — preventing both supply failures and infrastructure damage.
Water Level Monitoring — Hydrostatic sensors in reservoirs and storage tanks deliver accurate level measurement with cloud-based data transmission and automated anomaly alerts when levels fall outside defined thresholds.
