    The Government Museum, Chennai, is a museum of human history and culture located in Chennai, India. Started in 1851, it is the second oldest museum in India . It is particularly rich in archaeological and numismatic collections. It has the largest collection of Roman antiquities outside Europe.

  • The Problem

    Museums by nature are interdisciplinary, but the intangible cultural heritage is not often brought to light and Visitors more often do not feel connected to what they physically see in the museum. Digital transformation solutions can complement, enhance, or augment the museum experience through personalization, interactivity and richness of content.

The Solution

We developed various digital transformation solutions for the Chennai Museum to attract visitors, enrich their experience and spread knowledge of our intangible cultural heritage, these solutions include:
VR Museum Walkthrough
A 360 Degree Immersive tour through the museum, with audio and key annotations
Multi Touch Table
A four user rugged touch kiosk which enables visitors to access information regarding various museum artifacts and other elements.in an interesting and engaging way which enhances the overall experience of visitors.
AR based Mobile Application
A mobile app which project 3D scanned museum artifacts in the real world and places it next to the users, to share to social media and also gives visitors remote access to general information regarding the museum including its layout
Videowall
A scalable large display playing custom made videos at multiple locations of the museum
