The Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF), previously known as the National Resistance Army, is the armed forces of Uganda.
As unique identification cards issued for the members of UPDF contain personal details of the ID holder and represent affiliation of the holder with the UPDF , a counterfeit identification card or compromised identification card can be misused which is a threat to both the UPDF and the safety of the real ID holder and their family. UPDF wanted to revamp the design of their ID cards to ensure that the ID cards can not be duplicated or forged for misuse.
We developed next generation unique identification cards for the UPDF using advance technologies such as guilloche printing which is an ornate pattern consisting of a series of woven curved lines in a geometric pattern which requires a unique combination of codes for printing, printing microscopic text on the card which can only be only read with a microscope and making deliberate design mistakes in the card to confuse someone who is trying to forge the card.
Multiple security layers in the cards make it impossible to forge the cards.
Deliberate design mistakes in the original ID cards makes it easier to identify forged cards with the naked eye.
