Like any visitor, visually impaired people also visit public venues, but they often face difficulty in accessing the building and services. In India, according to the Population Census 2011, there are over 2.68 crore people with disabilities. However, excluding the airports and railway stations, only 1,524 government  buildings including hospitals have been made accessible as of November ‘21.
